Just wanted to let my bloggy friends know my daughter, Becca, has started writing here, so go over there and give her some comment love. I know you want to.
Project 365 Day 15
Project 365 Day 14
Today was a very laid back day. I slept until 8:00 a.m, then didn’t get out of my pajamas until after 2:00 p.m. I put some black eyed peas and ham in the crockpot, and made some home made bread using a recipe from The Gluten Free Girl. It was ok, but I didn’t have any club soda, so maybe that was why. Also, I have found that I have to use almost twice as much liquid as a recipe calls for when I am baking something up here. I don’t know if it is the high altitude or the dry climate, or both, but I had to use more than a cup of water where the recipe only called for 1/2 cup. Oh well.
When FabGrandpa came home from work, I looked out the door and there was a herd of deer out there in the back yard. By the time I got my camera turned on, all but one had scampered off.
Project 365 Day 13
Ok, so Kelley asked to see me in the shirt, so here I am, trying to look all cool while I take my own photo in the mirror. Yep, today I had to turn in my badge and my key, so it is over and tomorrow I am going to sleep late, and probably not get out of my pajamas until at least 3:00 p.m.
And as an added bonus, here is FabGrandpa (on the right for those of you who don’t know him), and his boss. He has to work until Wednesday, poor thing!
Project 365 Day 12
Tomorrow is the last day this season for me to wear this shirt. I have loved wearing it, I have loved the job I have been employed in since April. While I will be sad it is over, I am looking forward to some leisure time. In some ways it seems like it was just last week that I started the job, in others it has been such a long, long season. I hope I get to wear this shirt again next year.
Getting Ready To Go To Flagstaff
We will be leaving the North Rim at the end of next week, headed first to Flagstaff. I made a reservation for us at Greer’s Pine Shadows RV Park. We had wanted to stay at J and H again, but they close for the winter on October 14th. So, I called Greer’s last night and made a reservation.
We’ll be in Flagstaff for five days. We want to do some touristy things while we’re there. One thing I know for sure is on the list is the Lowell Observatory. We may drive down to Sedona one day to look around down there. I want to, no, I HAVE to get a pedicure and a hair cut. FabGrandpa wants to go to the Game Stop store. We’ll probably go out to eat a couple of times. But mostly, we’re just going to take a break.
At the end of the five days, we’ll be going to Phoenix. Our friends, Charlie and Lynn, are managing a Christmas tree sales lot, and we’ll be working for them starting around November 15, getting the lot ready for the opening day the day after Thanksgiving. We’ll be there on the sales lot until December 24th. It’s going to be a lot of hard work, I know, but we are looking forward to it. We’ve never done that kind of job before so it will be interesting.
So, that’s the plan. If you were in Flagstaff for five days, what would you want to see?

Project 365 Day 10
I have been working in campgrounds for 8 years now. I see all kinds of unique RV’s in the course of doing my job. This morning while I was doing the rounds, I saw this one. I love the paint job on it. The people who own it are from Colorado, so when they remodeled their trailer, they painted it to match their license plate. Adorable!
