Sometimes we as grandparents get a bit out of control. For instance, when Parker got his first haircut at my house, I was in charge of handing him the Gerber Banana Puffs, and taking pictures to document the event. I handled my multitasking duties quite well. I kept the baby supplied with treats to keep his attention away from the activity going on around his head. And I took 63 photos and 3 videos. I guess this could very well be the most well documented first hair cut ever! I’m not going to put all 63 photos in this post, just some of the highlights. Enjoy!

Parker must know something I don’t because I’ve had a great many haircuts and so far not 1 Gerber Banana Puff. Where did I go wrong

Maybe you are wiggling around enough, Paul.

Parker didn’t cry it seems! My mom said I used to cry a lot while having haircut till the age of 3!
Give my love to parker. 🙂

This is a cute story – I recently had the pleasure of cutting my two year old grand-daughters hair – turned out just as well as Parker’s. He’s adorable. Aren’t grandhchildren fun?

Adorable!! When I was his age, my dad would take me,along with my brother, to the barber shop!!! Yep…I looked like Parker, too 🙂
Karen says
My mother used to take my sister to a barber shop for her haircuts when she was little because they only charged $3 to cut it and the beauty shop charged $10.

I must say you did a lot. Nothing like parent’s and grandparent when it comes to the child’s first cut. Very nice pictures by the way.

Your grandson is adorable. You made his first experience a good one because he didn’t go to a barber shop. It is hard to go when you see children crying when getting their hair cut.

We bribed my son with words. He really liked the idea of being a big boy with a big boy haircut. My daughter just liked the attention and didn’t even move a muscle. I don’t have any grandma stories because I don’t have any grandchildren. Thanks for sharing yours!

Those gerber puffs are the best, huh? Kudos to the whole team it took to make this happen, but he’s a cutie-pie, no matter the hair style.
