Sadness At The Fab Household

It has only been a couple of weeks since I announced that we would be grandparents again. My beautiful daughter, Emily told us after nine long years that she would be blessed with a new baby.  She told me a few days ago that the baby is not to be. We both cried, and I wished like crazy I could be there to hold her in my arms and comfort her. I have been sad for her since then, and wanted to give her a few days to absorb her loss before I wrote about it. I know she will never forget that little life. Neither will I.

    Karen & Emily
I was given this poem a couple of years after our baby boy died at three days. It has brought me lots of comfort during some difficult days. I hope it does the same for you. Love & prayers, Alice

    Little Angels
    When God calls little children
    To dwell with Him above
    We mortals sometime question
    The wisdom of His love

    For no heartache compares with
The death of one small child
Who does so much to make
Our world so wonderful and mild

    Perhaps God tires of calling
    The aged to His fold
    So He picks a rosebud
    Before it can grow old

God knows how much we need them
And so He takes but few
To make the land of heaven
    More beautiful to view

    Believing this is difficult
Still some how we must try
    The saddest word mankind knows
    Will always be “Good-bye”

So when a little child departs
    We who are left behind
    Must realize God loves children
    Are hard to find

So sorry. Comfort your daughter, but don’t forget to allow yourself time to grieve as well.

    I’m so sorry 🙁

There is nothing worse to a parent than the loss of their child. The fact that she didn’t have the chance to meet her little bean doesn’t minimize that.

This is so heartbreaking Karen, I’m so sorry.

Oh Karen I so shared tears with you and Emily, even though you are far apart you are together. A painful time and words can’t help. I’ll pray for you both.
