Rosacea is a prolonged skin condition that shows worse effects on the face. This condition is commonly found in women with lighter skin complexion but men can also have the worst symptoms of this condition. According to the American Academy of Dermatology Association, rosacea can slowly and steadily develop in the eyes also. It results in the irritation and drying of eyes. The medical term for this condition is called ocular rosacea. Possible symptoms of ocular rosacea are as follows:
- Swollen eyelids
- Reddening of eyes
- Crusty eyelids

- Wash your eyes more often
People with ocular rosacea must clean their eyes with warm water more often at least twice a day. This can lessen the crusting of eyes. There won’t be any overflow of salty water in the eyes due to washing.
- Medication

- Warm compression
Warm compression with a cloth soaked in warm water can be an effective source of relief for the eyes. The solution can be made by adding a pinch of salt in warm water. This solution can help increase blood supply in the affected area.
- Use mild facial products
Whenever you wash your face, the solution goes inside your eyes as well so it is recommended to always use mild products like baby shampoos and soaps to wash your face. Products with highly toxic chemicals can worsen the eye condition.
