A lazy day now and again is totally fine. However, if you find yourself feeling lethargic day in and day out, you may have more of a problem on your hands. Happily, there are some tactics you can use to combat this feeling of listlessness. Read on to find out what they are.

Get your health checked out

Much of the time, feeling lethargic is our own fault. We are not doing enough to feel energetic and enthusiastic. However, this is not always the case. In fact, several medical conditions could be underlying a feeling of persistent lethargy. Not least issues like diabetes and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, both of which need proper treatment from a medical professional. With that in mind, if you are experiencing an unusual amount of tiredness or low energy, be sure to book a check-up with your doctors.

Eat something nutritious

Sometimes we can feel lethargic because we do not have suitable fuel for our bodies. Of course, the temptation is often to reach for something sweet. After all, once that sugar hits our bloodstream, we can feel fantastic. Sadly, this only lasts for a very short time, and the proceeding crash can make us feel even worse than we did before. With that in mind, try opting for a more nutritionally balanced snack that includes fiber, complex carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Oats and vegetables are particularly suitable in this case.

 Use a supplement

For some people, using supplements can be a great way of fighting tiredness and lethargy. In fact, there is a wide range of substances on the market to try. One is Ginkgo Bilboa, which is said to have stimulating properties. Another is caffeine, although you don’t have to drink it if you don’t want to. In fact, there are now caffeinated foods that can help you wake up in the morning or give you that extra boost when you need it. Finally, in this area, there is another option to consider and it is the Sativa strain of marijuana.  It is something that you can get from stores like pineapple express online, as long as it’s legal in your location. In fact, contrary to popular belief taking this substance won’t make you more tired but give you an energetic buzz instead. Something that can be very helpful when you need a little extra help getting started.

Move your body

Finally, when it comes to feeling lethargic, there is nothing more simple than moving your body. In fact, as you move your body, you will pump fresh oxygen around your system, and create endorphins, both of which will have you feeling better in no time. Of course, the issue is usually in getting started in the first place. With that in mind, why not make a deal with yourself that you will slowly and gently take a walk or do some yoga for 2 minutes? Then if you don’t feel any better, you can stop. In fact, these two minutes are usually enough to notice an improvement and help you to continue with your task and keep lethargy from your door!
