My husband, Fabgrandpa, and I lived for thirteen years in a travel trailer. We towed it around the country, following jobs at campgrounds, RV resorts, and with the National Park Service. We loved our time spent in new places every six months, and got to know many places more than we could have on a one or two week vacation. Living the full time RV life was fun, exciting, and rewarding.

We often discussed what we would do when it was time to “hang up the keys” and where we would live. If we had known about Carefree Resorts back then, we probably would have taken a look at the park model homes they have available.

About Carefree RV Resorts

Carefree RV ResortsĀ  is a family of 101 RV parks and Manufactured Home Communities across the United States and Canada. Carefree offers a wide selection of new and used Park Model homes for sale in their RV Resorts, and mobile homes in their Mobile Home Communities.

What Is A Park Model Home?

A Park Model is a smaller, single-wide home that is considered a recreational vehicle. Park Models are designed for placement in RV resorts, campgrounds, or locations where smaller trailers are an acceptable living environment. Although they are small, they are usually larger than the travel trailer we lived in for so long. They typically have one bedroom, one bath, an eat-in kitchen and living room. They are also permanently placed in a RV resort or campground so that you can live in the seasonally or year-round.

These look really, really nice. After my dad died, my mom moved from their big house to a mobile home. It is actually pretty cozy, even when she had an extra eight people!

Wow, they look very nice. Not what one might think of for an “RV” vacation site. Thank you for sharing.

Wow! These look like a perfect summer getaway home, not your typical RV. I learned something new!

That’s really neat. We’ve never vacationed in one spot long enough to do something like that but it sure would be fun to spend a summer there.

I would love for my children to be able to build memories in one special spot year after year. This sounds like a fun option for families.

I wish you lived here so we could hang out all the time. These homes are very popular in my area.

That looks like fun! We’re not quite ready for retirement yet (not for a looooong time I’m afraid) but I can see how this would be a great way to go!
