The Holiday Table: Epicurean Cutting Board Giveaway

Epicurean LogoI am really happy to be telling you about this company. They use recycled plastic milk jugs to make these Eco Plastic Cutting Boards. I didn’t think I would like a plastic cutting board, but then I didn’t think I would like ANY cutting board. I have never owned a “real” one.  For the last fourteen years I have used the flimsy thin plastic sheets that you get at RV supply places as cutting boards, because I needed something very lightweight that I could store just about anywhere.

Epicurean Recycled Plastic Cutting Board
Epicurean Recycled Plastic Cutting Board

When my sample cutting board arrived, the first thing I noticed was that it had the little slip resistant feet on each corner. Fabgrandpa was worried that food particles would collect in the crevices there, but so far, they have not. This cutting board has a little hole in one corner, which makes it very easy to pick it up off the counter. Because it is made of plastic, foods don’t stick to it and the clean up is a breeze. Just use warm soapy water.

These environmentally friendly, dishwasher-safe cutting boards are made from post-consumer recycled plastic milk jugs, which is a very good way to re-use something that we need but when thrown away just fill up all the landfill space. They come in orange, yellow, green, and grey so you can use color coded boards if you want to for vegetables and meats. They also come in three different sizes, 17.5″ X 13″ for $34.99, 14.5″X11.5″ for $24.99 , and 11.5″X9″ $19.99. I am using the medium sized one and it is plenty big enough for cooking for two people.

BUY IT: Find a store near you where you can purchase the Eco Plastic Cutting Board from Epicurean, or buy it online at Amazon.com

WIN IT: One winner will receive a medium size Eco Plastic Cutting Board from Epicurean. To enter the giveaway, use the Giveaway Tools form:

Our cutting surfaces can have a “newly manufactured” odor when they are used for the first time. We recommend washing your Epicurean®products in the dishwasher or with hot soapy water. The odor will dissipate after approximately 3-4 washings.
