img01Maestro Dobel Tequila. Do you have a friend or relative who seems to have everything? He’s got the latest technology toys, the best leather gloves, and his grandfather’s pocket watch. She has too many scarves and the latest perfumes. You have been trying to think of the perfect gift for ages! This year, you can give them both a gift that they will definitely enjoy: understated elegance. Introducing: Maestro Dobel Tequila.

In the world of tequila, there is the good, and there is the bad.  And then there is Dobel: the first multi-aged clear tequila ever distilled. It is named for its founder and famed tequila maestro Domingo Beckmann Legoretta. Each bottle of Dobel is a blend of Reposado, Añejo and Extra-Añejo tequila, and is made from 100% blue agave grown on the Dobel estate. It is then double-distilled, matured in Hungarian EUROPEAN White Oak barrels, and filtered for exceptional smoothness and clarity. Its velvety smooth taste is matched only by its aesthetics. As a modern twist on a vintage apothecary style bottle, the glass is embossed with the family’s estate, labeled in a sleek silver and black color scheme, and signed by both Señor Dobel and the Master Blender. It definitely has a look of quality.

Forget the shots and the impending hangover! Pour Dobel straight over ice for supreme taste. Your friends will want to know what you’re drinking. Tell them:Pure excellence!

You can find out more about Maestro Dobel Tequila by following them on their Facebook page. And, you can  download your own copy of their Maestro Dobel Tequila Cocktail Recipe Book so you can make the most up-to-date tequila cocktails at your holiday parties! Everything from Martini’s to decadent dessert drinks, with some Margarita recipes too! Imagine a Spicy Pina: a mix of tequila, pineapple juice, simple syrup, orange juice and a muddled jalapeno! Mmmmmmm!

BUY IT: You’ll be able to purchase Maestro Dobel Tequila soon at stores near you at a suggested retail price of $54.95 for the 750 ml bottle.

WIN IT: One winner who is 21 years old or older will win a Maestro Dobel Tequila Gift Box. This prize will consist of The Gift Box will include the following:

It depends on the caliber of tequila.
For the good (read: costlier, high end) brands, like the Maestro Dobel Tequila featured here, I like to sip it, no ice, no lime, no salt necessary.
Well made tequila is as intriguing and layered in its flavors as wine – smoky, spicy, citrus-y – and attention and appreciation should be paid to the time that goes into making it. 🙂
Having said that, the lower end “regular stuff” serves a purpose as a great margarita base. I have a recipe that includes triple sec and a very specific limeade (size and type). Non traditional, but I prefer it blended so thick special big straws are the only ones up to the task.
