I have always loved Honey Baked Ham, and I just found two new reasons to love them even more:
1. They are gluten free. Now I can eat it without having to worry if I will get glutened and feel sick and uncomfortable for days afterwards. Hooray for that!
2. They are changing their iconic gold foil wrapper to a pink one to support National Breast Cancer Foundation for the month of October! How great is that?
Here is the scoop on the pink foil! Honey Baked Ham is kicking off its busy season in a different way this year, by supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation and making donations to the organization during October. America’s favorite ham company will be replacing its iconic gold foil with pink for the first time ever. And, on Fridays during October, participating stores will offer buy one, get one free lunches for customers wearing pink who come in with a friend. You can find the store locations nearest you here. How dang cool is that? I’m going to find a pink shirt and see if I can find a friend to go to lunch with. How about you?
This is a quote from the press release I received:
“All month long,(October) customers will have the option to add a donation of one dollar or more to their purchase, directly benefiting the NBCF.
Fans of HoneyBaked’s Facebook page will also have the opportunity to nominate friends and loved ones who have been touched by breast cancer to receive a free family meal from HoneyBaked. One hundred families will be selected throughout the month of October.
“We’re excited to partner with HoneyBaked this year because they understand that early detection of breast cancer saves lives,” says Janelle Hail, NBCF Founder & CEO. “Through their donation, we are able to offer free mammograms to those in need and spread a message of hope to women across the country.”
I think that is a great idea. I’ll be nominating my cousin, Reba. I hope she will be one of the ones to be selected. Who will you nominate to receive the free meal for their family?
I was not compensated in any way to post this message. I just think it is a good idea and love the brand.

Thanks for your post and the information. I’ll have to check it out.

I LOVE Honey Baked Ham. I wish they weren’t so expensive! I love the lunch idea, though. I may have to see if we have one nearby that would participate.
