Today was a good news day around here. My sister called me around three o’clock to tell me that Mama’s doctor is going to let her go home next Friday. The physical therapy is doing her a lot of good, so they are arranging to have someone come to her house twice a week to continue the workouts. He also suggested that she use a walker instead of a cane for more stability. We are all so happy that Mama will be going back to her home. We really hope she will be able to stay there.
A little while after that, I got a message on Facebook that my son, Seth, applied for his retirement from the Air Force today. It is the 19th anniversary of his enlistment, so he has one year left until he can retire. Now he will be able to start looking for a job. Where he will call home will depend on where he finds a job. I am hoping it will be in Georgia or Alabama, but just really want for him what will make him happy and will provide for his family.
My friend, Gaelyn, from Geogypsy Traveler, was in Prescott for about a week because she was having some symptoms and needed to see a doctor. The first one she went to diagnosed her with gall stones. She decided to do an alternative treatment instead of surgery, and later found out that she did not have gallstones at all, it was a misdiagnosis. While she still doesn’t know what it IS, she did NOT have surgery for what it wasn’t. That to me is very good news.
Emily says little Parker has cut his first tooth! Yay, but dang that boy is growing up way too fast. See, he is finally sleeping.
And, last, Amelia and her Mummy wished upon a star at sunset, and Amelia wished for a fluffy unicorn. And her wish came true!
Gaelyn says
So glad your Mama is able to return home.
I am feeling much better, thank you, and trying to get my flora straightened out. Have an appointment with a gastroenterologist in a couple weeks. In the meantime, I’m working on manifesting health.
My how Amelia has grown.
