My friend, Gaelyn, of Geogypsy, is on a six week trip to South Africa. This is her second trip there, and I am sure she will still want to go back. She has seen some amazing animals in the wild, and has visit several South African National Parks. You can see the story of her trip starting here. You’ll have to start reading at the bottom of that page and go up, then click on newer posts to get it in the right order. I think you will agree that she is a great story teller and a fabulous photographer.

Before she left on this wonderful trip, she made arrangements to send postcards to twelve of her readers, and asked them to post a picture of the ones they received. I think I got this one in the mail about a week ago, but just now got the time to post it. I think the picture is cute! I especially like the back, because I love to see postage stamps from other countries. I collected stamps when I was a young girl.  I think these are so pretty!

What a fun idea to share postcards.

When I was younger my father used to travel the world. He would send me postcards all the time. I saved each and every one of them as well as postcards others sent me. I must have 100+ postcards from around the world. It’s fun to look back over them and read about everyone’s adventures.

I would love to go to Africa. That would be amazing!!!!

I agree with you. Seeing stamps from other countries is pretty cool.

I went to high school in South Africa. It was an amazing experience and such a beautiful country. I still have some very dear friends from there.

I picked that postcard out especially for you because of the spider. 😉 Glad you like it, and the pretty stamps too.

Only eight days left of this adventure and you better believe I’ll be coming back.
