visa-gift-card-giveawayI have been reading several bloggers ongoing review of their cosmetic surgery. One did a tummy tuck and a breast augmentation; one had rhinoplasty, better known as a nose job; and one had a procedure to reduce the size of her belly but not actually a tummy tuck. I appreciate their desire to improve their appearance, but since I had such a difficult time with my last surgery, I’m not so sure I could do anything that was purely cosmetic. What about you? What would you change about your appearance if you could? Would you submit to plastic or cosmetic surgery? Why or why not?

Dr. Patti Flint, M.D. is sponsoring this giveaway for a $50 Visa Gift Card. Here is a quote from her website:

“I feel it is important that patients be allowed to ask all of their questions and have them answered in a comfortable environment, without sales pressure. I welcome questions about my training and qualifications as well as my surgical experience. Seeking out a Scottsdale plastic surgeon who is Board Certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery is the best way to ensure a qualified surgeon is going to perform your surgery.”

A female Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Scottsdale AZ, Patti Flint, MD specializes in all aspects of plastic surgery including breast augmentation, facelift surgery, and tummy tucks, and offers a comprehensive skin care program using facial fillers, and Juvederm treatments.

Yes, I would have cosmetic surgery. I’d love to have something done to my upper eyelids and a breast lift. I think cosmetic surgery can be a great thing if done by a qualified doctor. I think it’s also important to go into it with the right expectations and be doing it to help yourself feel happier with your apperance and not thinking it will somehow change your entire life or make you into a “better” person.

There are those with problems like cleft palate that need surgery this way…but no, even with my imperfections, I have no intent to undergo a knife unless necessary. I did have a place taken off my lip some years ago, but it was bothering me more than how it looked (could have been cancer, but was not). FORTUNATELY the doc was a good seamstress and it was perfectly done.

I would if money were not object and I had an abnormal body part. Also if my mental well being was at risk. I would like to lose my fat abdomen, wrinkly neck and lines on my face. However anything more than what nature deems is sending a bad message to our youth that being superficial is ok. Being realistic, I have accepted my body as it is and will work with what I’ve got, and be grateful. .

I would never have a cosmetic procedure done unless I really had to (if i were to become disfigured in an accident or something).
    The reason why…
I was self conscious about a very minor imperfection (I’m probably the only one who even noticed it) and I had a small procedure done. It was a bad experience all around. It didn’t even take care of the issue that I had, only made it worse, much more noticeable and made me even more self conscious.

I would never have a procedure that is purely for cosmetic reasons. I just feel that the risk of something going wrong with surgery is always there, and if it’s not for a life threatening reason, it is just not worth something going wrong. If I didn’t have children, I might have a different perspective, but I can’t imagine ever putting myself in a position that would leave them without a mother.

I used to want a nose job and my boobs done but I’m happy with myself now. People used to make fun of my nose but I feel that if I did get it done, I wouldn’t look like me anymore. Who cares what people think anyways:)

I am not considering surgery at this time, but I may change my mind in the future. I think it would help my self esteem to look better or to have my clothes fit better if I had a tummy tuck.

I would only consider it for reconstructive purposes. However, I have no problem with other people having it done if they feel the need.

Probably not–mainly because even though it might improve my looks some, I don’t think it would be the best use of my money.

I always thought I wouldn’t, but as I get older I wouldn’t mind something corrective, but not too drastic; like a tummy tuck. Thanks!

I dont know if you can get plastic surgery for this, but I have hereditary dark circles under my eyes and have since I was little. I always look tired or like I’ve been crying. I’d love to get rid of them someday but I’m way too afraid of surgery.

I had rhinoplasty when I was 15 years old. That was over 38 years ago. It was one of the best things I ever did. Would I change anything else? I might tuck a few things if I had the money, but I am happy with the way I look for the most part.
