
We actually found this dresser in a shop in Tallapoosa, Georgia last spring, but we didn’t buy it until this week. We went back to the same place just to look, and the dresser was still there. It was manufactured in 1929 at the Gettysburg Furniture Company. The sticker is still on the back of it.

We still need a dresser to go in the bedroom, but with this piece at least we have some drawers to put some of our clothing in for a while. We can wait for a while to get another one.

While it wasn’t so thrifty on the price, it is still reusing and recycling instead of buying new. And that to us is all part of being thrifty with resources.
I love this old dresser. Thrifty hopefully means you didn’t pay antique store prices.
