Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometer

When I was in the hospital back in May and June, the people taking care of me used a temporal scanner thermometer to take my temperature. It was quick, easy, and non-intrusive. In other words, they just scanned my forehead with the probe, and had my temp in a matter of seconds. I thought that was one of the neatest inventions, ever.

And then when I got home from the hospital and received a request to review the Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometer, I was very happy to do it. It truly is very easy to use. You just push the button on the handle, scan the patient’s forehead, and in about two seconds, you have their temperature. I wish I had one of these when my children were babies!

From Exergen:

  • Gentle stroke of the forehead captures naturally emitted heat from skin over temporal artery
  • Red LED lights and soft beep indicate correct scan
  • Takes 1,000 readings per second , selecting the most accurate
  • Arterial Heat Balance computes the correct temperature

Exergen is going to give one of my lucky readers one of these thermometers! Just use the Rafflecopter form to enter to win it!

We’ve tried ear ones and regular under arm/mouth/ rectal ones and have been really frustrated with accuracy, maybe this would be a better option for us.
