I remember so many years ago buying school supplies to send three children back to school. It stretched my budget every year to get them ready to go back.
While I don’t have any young children going back to school, I do have a grown up daughter who goes back to school every year, because she is a biology teacher in a high school in Georgia. I’m pretty proud of her for changing her career path and getting her Master of Education after working in a doctor’s office for ten years.
It would be nice if her school, Alexander High School in Douglasville, Georgia, was the winning school in the Avery Give Back to Schools promotion. This promotion, in it’s third year, gives the winning school $10,000 in donated school supplies from Avery Dennison as well as 25,000 Box Tops for Education! You can still vote at www.avery.com/giveback. You can also add your school if it isn’t already listed.Voting for is open until September 14, 2012.
I received some school supplies from Avery to talk about, and I have to say that the notebook they sent ispretty as well as sturdy. It will hold up to lots of wear, and hauling around in a backpack.
The Insertable Plastic dividers came in a multipack and each one in the pack is a different color. Because they are plastic, the holes won’t rip open and allow them to fall out of the binder. I also received a pack of highlighters and a pack of glue sticks. These are all examples of school supply products the winning schools will receive.
The Organization of Moms on Facebook is hosting the Avery Spin To Win contest from September 3-7, 2012. You can win Avery products and Bonus Boxtops For Education for your school, plus an entry into the Grand Prize at the end of the week which is Avery products and an iPad. To enter, go to the Facebook page, and follow the instructions.
Avery and their partner Red Sky Public Relations sent me products in exchange for a review; however, all ideas and opinions are my own.
