First Day Of Autumn At The North Rim

Since it was the first day of Autumn here at the North Rim, and I had the day off, I decided to drive up to Point Imperial. Here are some things I saw today:

Mule ride anyone?
Wildflowers gone to seed
Aspens starting to turn
A hawk looking for lunch
First vie of the canyon on Pt. Imperial road
Grand Canyon Panarama
Utah Juniper
This fire was started by lightening
This little guy chattered at me for getting too close
Seed heads
Some flowers are still blooming

I’ve been to the Grand Canyon twice now-and there’s so much more I need to see. I’ve been to the south rim and the west rim. Love your photos!!!

Beautiful, especially that view from the point. I always love seeing that. We were going out to Cape Royal Monday but somehow missed the turnoff. So we took Hwy 22 to Fredonia. Not many of the aspens there had started turning yellow yet.

So beautiful! I was at the Grand Canyon once as a little girl, I’ve always dreamed of being able to take my children there someday.

How nice to get out for the canyon views on a day off. I haven’t been to Pt Imperial since before that fire.

Beautiful photos! Makes me anxious for fall. Summer likes to hang around for a while here in the South.
