Gluten Free On Sale?

We went over to Utah to buy groceries today. While I was in town, I picked up a newspaper. This is the grocery ad on the back page of the first section of the newpaper:

In a newspaper in Utah!

I have never seen an ad for a sale on gluten free products in a newspaper. I know I have been able to find gluten free items in most grocery stores in Utah (which is NOT the case in other states, like Alabama, Arizona, and Georgia). I think it is wonderful! I just wish there were one of those stores near me.

Cookies, cereals and stuff. Where’s the nearest Harmons?

Gaelyn, from looking at the ad, the closest one is in St. George, Utah.

I’ve never seen an advertised gluten free sale either. That’s great!

Living in the Chicago area I sometimes forget how fortunate we are to be surrounded by multiple gluten free options. But when I travel home to Kansas, I feel like I have to hoard every gluten free item we brought in fear we will run out and have no choices. 🙂 (Really, it isn’t that bad, but in comparison to our options here, it is scarce.)

A gluten free sale?! What a wonderful idea. I’m very surprised that this is not offered in more areas. 🙂

Hope all is well where you are!

Karen — does gluten-free usually mean lower carbs? (We are in one of those areas where I can’t check it out myself.) We’ve recently learned that “we” need to lower our carb intake. Not the best time to find out just as we started out on our roadtrip, but we’re working on it.

NO! I wish, though! Gluten free only means it doesn’t have wheat, rye or barley in it. They can still be packed with carbs, though.
