Amelia’s Baby Quilt Is Finished.

I enjoyed making this little quilt. I started out with a “turnover”, which is a stack of pre-cut 6″ triangles. It went together really quickly. It really didn’t take much time to make–it could probably be made in just a weekend.

I always enjoy taking pictures when I am finished with a quilt. I try to pretty places to hang them so the pictures look more interesting. These were taken today at Payne Lake Campground. The sun was shining, with a clear sky and a gentle breeze, quite a nice day after a winter of mostly freezing temps or rainy days.

The next time I have a picture of this quilt will be with its intended recipient, Miss Amelia Summer, who will be making her debut sometime in May.  She’s due on May 23, I think, but will probably be a bit early. She will be my second granddaughter. I can hardly wait!

It really turned out nice Karen. Love the shot hanging over the water with reflection.

    It sure turned out pretty.
Did you see on Yahoo news today that the owner of Bob’s Red Mill Barn just gave the company to his employees’. What a great thing to do.

Have been off line for awhile. A lot happened here in SE Ala. OUr little house got flooded in the middle of Dec with all that rain. Had to move it and stayed with friends for over a month till we got it all put back together. Bunch of neighbors came and helped us move almost everything out before the water got too high. We have had some crazy weather here in Ala this year.
Hubby is going back to Birmingham this weekend for a 5 week job. So am going to try to get up there this time. So maybe I will get to meet you and hubby this time.

Take care and stay warm. LInda

The quilt is gorgeous! I love the setting you chose to display it in, but it will be even more beautiful wrapped around Miss Amelia. Congratulations on the prospect of another granddaughter. I have five, and each one is different and special.
