I have been wondering who it is that comes here to read the drivel that I write. My stat counter tells me there are almost 150 hits a day on this little saga of mine. I would really like to know who you are and what keeps you coming back.
If you have never commented on my blog, would you mind either leaving a short comment to let me know what it is you like about my blog, or email me at (fabgrandma@gmail dot com) if you would prefer not to comment. My curiosity is killing me.

I’ll confess that I’ve started reading when I see on fb you’ve posted something new. The pictures you are posting from the Grand Canyon are beautiful!

You know me, especially if you are reading my dtory of becoming an Aussie.
I like your blog because I enjoy learning about how other people live in other countries.

Another retiree – frequent traveler in a conversion van. Love travel to national and state parks. Looking forward to your adventures at North Rim Grand Canyon since we have been there twice.

Hi Karen, I read your blog almost daily because you give “the good, the bad, and the ugly.” I, too, am a fulltimer, but volunteer my way to new adventures across the United States. I especially enjoyed the posts where you took a picture each day. It reminded me to not overlook what you might consider ordinary.
After following your blog for a while, I decided to try a blog myself.

Hey Karen, I am one of those lurkers! I keep up but just am not a commentor. Hope you have a Happy Mothers Day. Love ya’ll, Jody

Well, even though you know who I am I thought I’d comment anyway. I started reading your blog because you have celiac disease as my husband does but that’s not the only reason I read it. I love your wit and your adventures and the fact that you’re also an RVer sure helps!

Hi, I’m Susan. I have been visiting you once a week or so. I don’t even remember how I found you, but I admire your lifestyle and find it interesting. We have had two travel trailers, gave them up, and now are pining for one again. It is a restless spirit. I don’t get a 1/4 as many hits a day as you do, but I also am curious about certain people. Some are there everyday and I wonder who they are and why because they do not comment. You have a good question here for viewers and I just might ask also someday. If you come visit me, leave a comment. 😉
Karen says
LCeel: Awww, I love you!
Mary: Thank you for letting me know you’re coming by.
Diane: I loved reading your immigration story. It was fascinating. My grandparents came from Russia and Austria, and I wish there was a written record of their adventure.
Traveler: AH, a kindred spirit.
Judy: you are right, I do tend to tell it like it is. Not very day is pretty.
Jody Brown: I am missing you too, hope you have a fabulous Mother’s Day, and hug all those babies for me.
Sandra: I know you read and comment often, but I think I missed that your hubby was celiac. Thanks for letting me know that.
Susan: Thank you for your comment. Get yourself another trailer, girl. The view is very nice out here.

Hey there…
We have talked back and forth before.. Enjoy reading your blog.
We are “part-timers”.. This ol’ Georgia girl can’t cut the ties .. so we travel a bit, and head back to our little Georgia nest. Haven’t found any place I would want to trade for. So.. that is about it… will end, as always.. with good wishes and advice to.. Walk Softly…..

Gale & Anna – Anna started reading your blog because of Celiac…after he hubby Gale was diagnosed with it..she was looking for recipes to feed him with. And I (Anna) keep reading for same reason and to find things that may be interesting for us to see as we have started our full time journey.

Hi Karen,
I’ve been reading you for some time. Now that we are home for a bit, I’m just reading you and dreaming – of next winter in Arizona.

I’m a 58 year old cajun-ish lady from south central Louisiana and I’m hooked on your blog! I sometimes check it twice a day in the hopes that you’ve added more pictures and posts. My husband and I traveled the west for many years with my parents, up to Jacobs Lake, over to Hurricane and also rambled around camping all over northern Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, southern Utah and eastern Nevada areas, always with our cat Moonie. We often camped in our high top vans ‘way back in the forest” around the Grand Canyon area, especially just north of Williams, boondocking of course, and we all loved every minute of it. Unfortunately mom and dad are no longer able to travel, and since I need to stay around home to help them with their needs I’ve also had to put camping/traveling on hold. But I am happy to say that I am able to re-live so many of our fun times together simply by reading your posts and looking at your great pictures. I thank you so much for bringing back those wonderful memories of camping out west with my family. Keep those pictures and posts coming! Pam M.

I have been reading your blog since I found you on the Geeks on Tour list. It was while you were in Ga as a volunteer host. We are full-timers as well. My husband is from South Georgia. We also fell in love with the north rim. I agree with all the comments preceding mine. You seem to be down to earth people much like us. Love the pictures and we hope to be workampers very soon. Keep up the great pictures and posts.

Hi, my name is Mary, and I don’t remember how I found your blog, probably a reference from someone else’s blog. I continue to read you because I find your life interesting, you’re a good writer, and I think we have some things in common.
Age: although I’m a bit older than you at 66. Celiac: I’ve been GF for 2 years, and always interested in another’s GF journey. I’ve tried your squash casserole – great! Crafts: although I’m a knitter, sometimes I crochet a bit. If I could ever retire, I might try other crafts. Grandkids: I beat you out on that score – #20 will arrive in June. Your RV life: I’m land-based, but have fantasized about renting/buying an RV and seeing the US. My DH is such a traditional guy, I doubt he could give up his home (unless we win Lotto!). So I live vicariously through you, and this way I see parts of the US I may never see.
I also have a blog – Questionable Knitting – but I don’t post as often as I should, and I’m pretty sure nobody reads it. I don’t even know how to get a counter to see if anyone stops by.
Have a great day – I will continue to follow you!
Ginger says
I found and continue reading your blog because of your lifestyle – living full time in an RV. I live that lifestyle vicariously through you. As I’ve said many times before, thank you for sharing your life with all of us, in beautiful photos and well-written words.

Hi, I am Jan, an almost retired school teacher (I will be working part time next year). While our kids were growing up, we had a travel trailer and went to the local lake. Then our son was an NPS employee at Death Valley NP for a few years. We are trying to buy another trailer, but I don’t think we will ever completely full time. We live on a farm, and still have cows. I enjoy your blog very much. Jan

Hi, I started reading your journal as it is on Sandra’s blog list. Like Sandra, I am an rv-dreams chatter, also.
I am great grandma, and an ex-fulltimer. We had to get off the road, prematurely, when my late DH got sick. I still love to travel, but by following other RVer’s blogs. I love to see the pictures of all the places that I have never seen.
Now I just work on RV’s, often vintage. Also an SPCA foster mom.

I am gluten free too, plus I love the pictures. We don’t travel a lot now because of our four kids but someday. Plus, I can never get enough scenery. I live in a scenic part of North Idaho and I can’t remember how I found you. 🙂

Hey,
I’m a bit of a part time reader of your blog.
I think I came across it when I thought that I may be gluten intolerant, although have since moved on from there.
I am also a keen traveller, although finances haven’t made that easy for me over the past few years; I am looking into ways of making a living whilst travelling around Australia- have only seen a small part of my home country.

Hi Karen! I’m Nadine, 52 yr old mom of three – two in college, one in highschool. I found you through another blog and follow your posts daily. I tell my children that once they’re done with school and on their own I will have some new ‘adventures’ to share(at least part time). I think your lifestyle is wonderful and a great adventure. It’s something I would love to try someday. I find your posts so informative and feel like I’ve found a kindred spirit. Who knows what time will bring, but it’s fun to think of the future as a new beginning. Thank you!

I live vicariously though your wonderful posts and pictures and someday hope to live a similar lifestyle for at least part of the year. Hi,
My name is Phillis. I have followed your blog for some time now. My husband and I have a motor home and love the RV lifestyle. We will probably never be fulltimers; however, we can dream of being that carefree.
I would like to try workkamping lifestyle once my husband is no longer working. I was laid off from my job last Friday, so we no longer have my job holding us back from a much freer lifestyle. We have 2 grandsons.
