I read about Project 365 on a blog called Annoyingly Boring. His blog is anything but boring to me. I read some more about it here because taking a photo a day is something I have thought of doing for a number of years, ever since FabGrandpa gave me that first 35 mm camera for Christmas back in 1992. But there was always something to keep me from doing that. At first, it was because I couldn’t afford all that film. Then it was because I was to busy, or too something else that starts with an “L” and ends with a “Y” and has A and Z in the middle of it.
So, because Annoyingly Boring’s photos appealed so strongly to me, (especially this one Don’t ask me why, I just like the idea of all those mailboxes) I decided to give it a try. I have a Samsung Digimax 4.0 mega pixel with 12X zoom and a 6 cm macro. It is the one I have used to take all of the pictures I have put on this blog so far. I want a new camera, but that will have to wait until next year. The one I have does a decent job.
Then, after I decided to do this, I talked my daughter, Becca, into doing it along with me. Her blog, How Will It End, is where she will be posting her photos for her Project 365. I hope you’ll go over there and she what she is up to, too.
Now, I know you are all just breathless waiting to see what I will do for the first day of my Project 365, so here it is:
Today was a shopping day. Because we are in such a remote area, going for groceries is an all day affair. We have to drive for an hour to get to Jacob Lake. The only thing there at Jacob Lake is Jacob Lake Inn. It is my favorite place to eat breakfast (HA! it’s the only place around here, too) and we always sit at the counter. So, my first photo for my Project 365 is the counter at Jacob Lake Inn.

EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!
Very excited you have decided to give it a whirl.
No pressure, have fun with it and remember, as a wise man once said, “Some days are days”. They aren’t all going to be knock your socks off stuff.

That is a really neat counter – I like the artwork on the wall too. So it sounds like you really are in a very remote area. I hope you are able to get everything you need.

I want to do it too… how does it work? Do you have to post the photo on your blog everyday?
