Cabbage and Smoked Sausage

I was tired today so I wanted something I could cook really fast for dinner. I cut up some cabbage and some potatoes, and threw them together in a skillet with some butter, salt, pepper and water. I simmered them until they were tender, then added some smoked sausage, cut up into bite sized pieces. It was really good, and ready in about 30 minutes.

Now I have to tell you about something that made me laugh today. When I was walking around the campground this morning doing the rounds, I passed by a site where there was a tent camper. No one was up yet. I could hear someone inside the tent snoring so loudly that I could almost see the sided of the tent moving in and out. I walked a few sites on down the road, and again, there was a tent camper, with no one up and about yet. As I was walking by, I heard a very loud faarrrrtttt! and then a guy said, “Boy did that ever feel good!” I have laughed about that all day!

I make something similar, only with onion and green pepper instead of cabbage. But you know, the cabbage sounds better right now!

The fart story made me laugh. I have a warped sense of humor when it comes to bodily functions. They make me laugh like a 12 year old.

Talking about a meal of sausage and cabbage and a guy farting all in the same post is a pretty funny combination. . . . 😉

I also found the sausage, cabbage and farting combination funny. It made my day! Thanks, I’ve been up since 630am and my day has not been good at all.

I expect with the sausage/cabbage combo, there will be flatulence in the house of Fab tonight.

Earlier this year I did some tent camping and the night before I ate some pizza that didn’t settle so well with me. The entire night and next morning I did my best to try and not do what you described, but hey, sometimes you gotta and boy does it feel good!
