Today we went to a thrift store on Main Street in Cedartown, Georgia. It was a small store, cram packed with stuff. We found a few interesting things but the only thing we bought were some DVD movies.

This ironing board hangs over a door
This ironing board hangs over a closet door, and folds up out of the way when not in use. I need a new ironing board, but I’m not sure I want this kind. He had several more of the regular kind, for $8 each but I don’t know what ironing boards cost new so I don’t know if that was a good deal or not.
A nice little shelf
I liked this little shelf unit. It would be nice to put in the bathroom, but I didn’t buy it. I need to measure the place where I want it go to see if it will fit.

This could have been a nice coffee table, but it was sitting outside in the rain. There also wasn’t a price on it.
That was it for this week–I may go back another time to check out those ironing boards.

Your dining area is so pretty! I can see you sitting at that table in your jammies with a cup of coffee and your laptop, sort of like I’m doing right now. ha.. Years ago I was wandering through a thrift store, my idea of a fun time, and I came across a very large ‘country’ mailbox. It was only $2.00, and my hubby thought I was crazy to buy it because it was bent out of shape . I bought that booger, brought it home and with a little bit of shoving and beating it with a rubber mallet I had the best mailbox I’ve ever owned! It’s big, and I’ve never regretted buying it. It’s saved so many trips to the post office to pick up packages because of it’s size. Keep your eyes open for one when at the thrift stores, you’d never regret getting one. I think some of the building supply chain stores may carry them too.
