I really don’t have to think very hard for this one. I absolutely hate to clean the bathroom. Luck for me, Fabgrandpa has done that chore for me for as long as we have been together. I never asked him to, he just started doing it when he moved in. I really really appreciate that, too.

31 Day Challenge Day 12: How Do You Relax?
I Need An Anonymous Benefactor (or a Sugar Daddy!)
I had to go to the doctor again today in Marion, Alabama. It was just a follow-up to the visit last week. On the way through town, there was a sign in the window of the Old Marion Bank Building, offering it for sale. This gorgeous building, on the square in Marion, is for sale for $259,500. I am in love with this building:
The downstairs is perfect for a retail space. I could have a fabric/quilt shop, with space for classes or quilting retreats. There are office spaces that would make perfect little shops for other crafters. And a friend of mine suggested a crafting “school” where I could invite other artists to come and teach their art: spinning yarn, machine embroidery, long arm quilting, weaving, smocking, heirloom sewing to name a few. Yes, I have been dreaming all afternoon and evening! Sigh. I need an anonymous benefactor. Or a Sugar Daddy.
I Just Couldn’t Help Myself!
31 Day Challenge Day 12: Something You Do Every Day
I am such a creature of routine! As soon as I get up every day, I make up my bed. (ok, as soon as FabGrandpa get out of it) It makes me feel bad to walk into my bedroom during the day and see the bed not made. I was not always that way, but for at least the last 25 years, I have to do this.
My morning routine, every day, is: cup of coffee, read my emails, read my Facebook news feed, read several forums. Check my bank account, check my blogs for comments that need to be moderated.
At night, right before I go to bed, I wash my face, brush my teeth and my hair, take my metformin, my lisinopril, and my low dosage aspirin. Put my glasses on the table. Good night.

31 Day Challenge: A Photo That Makes You Laugh

Me and my friend in 2001. I had FabGrandpa take this pic of me back in 2001 so I could send it to my grandkids.

This one was taken in 1996, when a friend and I drove from Atlanta to San Antonio to take the bassinet that my son slept in to him so his first born could also sleep in it. We drove down to Laredo and crossed the border to Mexico. The Mexican guy who owned this stall took the picuture.

And this one, I laugh because I know the story that goes with it! But, SOME things will forever be secret!
31 Day Challenge: Something You Use Every Day

Whether I wear my prescription sunglasses or my regular prescription glasses, I use them every day. They are the first thing I put on in the morning and the last thing I take off at night. I have worn glasses since I was 13 years old, and probably SHOULD have worn them since I was 6. I still remember the day I got my first pair of glasses. I walked outside wearing them, and I could actually see the leaves on the trees. Before that, trees looked like a green blur in the summer sunshine.

31 Day Challenge: A Favorite Memory
Back in 2003 FabGrandpa and I went to the mountains of North Georgia for a vacation. After we made our plans, we sent out an email to the kids inviting them all to come and join us there. My son, who was stationed in England at the time, flew over with his two children to join us.
Michael and Sarah were into Spongebob Squarepants back then, and could recite their favorite cartoons word for word. They kept us entertained with that.

We were staying at a cabin where there was a lake for fishing. Michael caught a stringer full of fish that was bigger than he was:

Sarah got a fishing lesson from Aunt Becca:

While Michael, his Dad, and FabGrandpa went out in the boat:

Later, we went to the Atlanta Zoo, where Michael got intimate with the Willie B Gorilla statue:

And Sarah posed as a giraffe:

We had such a good time visiting with Michael and Sarah! We don’t get to see them very often, so it is such a treat when we do.
