I am really embarrassed to have to say that we went over budget this week. You would think that $300 would be plenty for two people, but it just didn’t work out that way this week. It was the purchase of those hair products that put us over the top, but we needed them and they will last us for a couple of months, so there, I have justified my indiscretion on the money front.
We went out to breakfast three times, all at Cracker Barrel; out to lunch once at that Mexican grill place; and out to dinner once, last night on our way home from Montezuma Castle. (more about that trip coming soon)
So, the bottom line for this week: in the hole by $39.37. Since we were under budget last week by $36.80, that means for the two week period, we’re in the hole by $2.57. I’ll work harder at it this week. Sigh.

Being in Phoenix will do that to your budget. So many shopping and dining options that you just tend to go overboard. It happens.
At least you know what did it and you are working at it.
I enjoy reading how others budget their money. We are trying to cut way back right now in fear of my husband losing his job. So, thanks for sharing.
That was close. Good thing you were ahead last week. Lesson learned.
Those hair products will do it to ya – I’m trying to find my stuff cheaper, but it’s hard!
you’re doing a great job my Seester 😉
easy come, easy go. eh?
I would say that you were even. I like nice shampoo too. 🙂
I think I’d splurge on shampoo and conditioner, too. I’m really picky and I have very long hair! Thanks for sharing your budget. HA! Now if I could only get hubby to cut back on his wine budget!
It happens sometimes! It’s hard to stay on a budget, but the trick is to not give up. 😉
You know – since those hair products will last more than a month, really should you amortize them out in your budget – so, in my books, you are still just fine!
Things like this are why my CPA cringes at tax time every year! LOL!
Hey.. 39 bucks isn’t too bad.
