Every time we go to town I buy some lottery tickets. Yeah, I know, big waste of money, but it is my only vice. I don’t smoke, don’t drink (much) and I don’t eat wheat. So I can have a little bit of fun, OK? I buy them on the way home and scratch them off in the truck, and then the next week I cash them in. Silly little rituals, yeah, but I look forward to it.
Last week I bought my usual $10 worth of scratchers, and won $43. So, I told FabGrandpa that I wanted to stop on the way to town to cash them in, so I would have some cash to give a tip to the girl who cuts my hair. We stopped, I cashed them in and spent $10 of my winnings on some more tickets. And I won another $55! I know this does not sound like much, but to someone who usually only wins a couple of dollars, this was huge. I was so excited!
But then we got to town and the beauty salon was closed, so I didn’t get a hair cut. I think I’ll just let it grow.

My husband gets excited with lottery tickets also. I think even the small amounts make you feel good. I would have been thrilled with your winnings. Cathy
I very seldom play them, but every time I have one in my hand, I’m sure it’s a winner. I’m usually wrong.
I buy a pack of them at Christmas and put them in my kids stockings (I know, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, whatever). They LOVE to scratch those things off.
I’ve never played the lottery, but one year went with friends to Atlantic City and won $50 in quarters from the slot machine. 🙂
yay for you!
