The people at Joann Fabrics sent me a $25 gift card, and challenged me to make one of the projects in their Summer of Joann Kids Crafts Projects . I took them up on the challenge, and here is how it turned out:
I chose to make a Drawstring Backpack, and decided to make it for my granddaughter, Sarah. My letter doesn’t stand out quite as well as theirs does, but I think I did a pretty good job. Instead of using the cord and grommets, I changed mine up and used buttonholes and a drawstring made from the fabric I used to make the letter. I learned how to use the buttonhole feature of my new sewing machine while doing this project, which was a win for me!
