Grandma’s Gift Guide: Orgami Owl

Origami Owl is a custom jewelry company that was founded in 2010 by a 14 year old girl. The jewelry she sells tells a story about the person it is put together for. To create or design your piece, you choose up to five charms from the many she has to offer. Then, you chose a locket to put them in. Next, pick a chain, then a plate and a dangle. You can choose as many or as few options as you wish to make your necklace unique to you.

For my own, I chose the May birthstone gem, the sewing machine charm, the crystal crown charm, and the cherries charm. I chose them because I love tiaras, cherries, and sewing, and my birthday is in May.

Next, I chose the Medium Silver Locket with Crystals:

And a silver chain. The end result is a pretty locket made to tell a story about me. I love it.

When it was delivered, it arrived in a tiny Chinese take out box, and was packaged in a very nice brocade “fortune cookie” box. The jewelry piece I received, which consisted of 4 charms, 1 crystal silver locket, and a chain, retails for $45.
