I learned that Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract doesn’t contain Bourbon but it refers to Bourbon Islands–Madagascar, Comoro, Réunion, Seychelles and Mauritius–which are off the east coast of Africa. never heard of them but interesting to know. Now I wonder if that’s where the whiskey Bourbon gets it’s name.
