On our recent road trip to Brunswick, Georgia, we chose Microtel on Gateway Boulevard for our lodging. This motel was right off of I-95 ext 38. It was convenient to everything we wanted to see and do while we were in town, and cost us $123 for two nights.
The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient, and checked us in right away. They told us about the daily free continental breakfast and coffee in the lobby. I was impressed that when we came back after going out to dinner and asked where we could get some milk, they got us a cup from their kitchen for free.
The room had two queen beds, and a padded window seat that could have been used as a bed for a child. There was a desk and free wi-fi, which would be great for a business traveler. While there was a microwave, there was no refrigerator or coffee maker in the room.
While I was very satisfied with the room itself, and the service, I was disappointed in the free continental breakfast. There were dunking sticks donuts, a couple of cereals, and instant oatmeal available, but nothing at all gluten free except for the bananas. The coffee cups were very small, too. I would have liked for them to either provide a coffeemaker in the room or set out larger cups.
Overall, I would give this motel three stars.

No fridge? Bummer. I requested one put in my room last time in Flag. It was an extra $3 well spent. I bring my own espresso machine.
