Thanks to one of my bloggy friends who is nearing her own Blogaversary, I checked, and sure enough, today is my my Five Year Blogaversary. I have come a long long loooonnnggg way since September 8, 2006. I started out writing Fabgrandma on Blogspot, because my son was stationed in England and had met and married a British woman. I wanted her to get to know our family before she moved to the US. What started out as just a family thing, has turned into my passion–writing about my life, my travels, my gluten free diet, my grandchildren.
I often describe my blog this way:
“Telling the world way too much about me whether they want to know it or not. I write about my life of living full time in an RV, eating a gluten free diet, things I do for fun, and things that are important to me. I make you look at photos of my grandchildren, talk about my husband’s survival of oral cancer, show you things I have made. You know you want to look”
My writing has improved quite a bit since that very first post back in 2006. FabGrandpa and I have lived in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Alabama, and Arizona since then, working our way across the country at privately owned campgrounds, state parks, national parks, and forest service campgrounds. I found out I have to eat a gluten free diet. One of my lifetime dreams came true, I gained a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, two grandchildren, and a almost son-in-law. I have learned a lot about myself, and learned how to sew in an invisible zipper. I even went turkey hunting! But the post I made that consistently gets the most views is all about buying bras. Go figure.
Thank you for reading, for commenting, for emailing me when I haven’t posted in a while. To help me celebrate my Five Year Blogaversary, will you do me a favor and leave a comment–tell me what your favorite post was, how long you’ve been reading my blog, what you like about it, or just say HI.

I have to honestly say that I have no definate favorite posts. I love them all, yet I really enjoy seeing your pictures on your drive back to the Grand Canyon for the summers, so I guess that could be considered a favorite subject. I get antsy if you don’t post something everyday! I have enjoyed reading, as well as learning from your blog. Love your quilts by the way, especially the southwest colored ones.. Be safe in your travels eastward, and keep your posts coming! ~Pam~
